I’m Michael, an independent garden and landscape designer with over 40 years of hands‑on experience in construction, groundworks, drainage and outdoor living design. Every garden featured on this website is my own work — designed, detailed and delivered with care, precision and a practical understanding of how people actually use their gardens.

My career began at 14 when I built my first garden pond. After school, I spent five years working with a landscape gardener, followed by extensive experience with civil engineers — learning construction, groundworks and drainage from the ground up.
In 2004, I earned a Diploma with Merit from the Institute of Garden Design, and since then I’ve designed and project‑managed gardens across Ackworth, Pontefract, Wakefield and the wider West Yorkshire region.
